India’s National Suicide Prevention Strategy (NSPS)

India launched its first-ever National Suicide Prevention Strategy (NSPS) on November 21, 2022, aiming to reduce suicide mortality by 10% by 2030. This landmark initiative marks a major step in recognizing suicide prevention as a public health priority.

The Mental Health Innovation Network (MHIN) aims to nurture this commitment and accelerate progress toward implementation of innovations with the ultimate goal of improving the lives of people with these disorders.
