The Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering at Gokhale Education Society’s R. H. Sapat College of Engineering was established in July 2010 and has successfully operated for fifteen years. The department has a proven track record of producing quality engineers who have brought significant recognition to the institute, society, and the nation. To further enhance educational quality, the department introduced a post-graduate course, M.E. (Digital Systems).
Our department consists of a diverse team of experienced and dynamic staff members.
Leading the department is Dr. S.P. Agnihotri, joined by faculty members Dr. M.P. Joshi,
Dr. K.V. Karad, Dr. A.S. Patel, Dr. P.J. Mondhe, Dr. R.K. Pathak, Mrs. H.H. Kulkarni, Mr.
D.M. Raut, Mr. P.D. Lokhande, Mrs. G.R. Kawale, and Mrs. M S Gahiwad. Additionally,
our technical support team includes Mr. C.K. Vaidya and Mr. P.S. Pagere, all of whom
are creative and enthusiastic professionals with diverse backgrounds.
The department is committed to fostering a culture of innovation, creativity, and
excellence. We provide students with hands-on experience and exposure to the latest
technologies through our state-of-the-art laboratories, experienced faculty, and industry
collaborations.
We utilize various teaching and learning methods, including workshop-based learning,
project-based learning, and industrial visits. Our facilities cater to multiple domains,
including Power Electronics, PLC & Automation, Antenna & Amplifier, Microwave, VLSI,
and Soft Computing. The department organizes workshops and seminars in various areas to enhance students’ skills. Additionally, our Entrepreneurship and Innovation cell
supports students in innovation and start-up activities.
The department takes efforts to develop in consultation with industry experts to ensure
that our students are job-ready and possess the skills needed by the industry. Research
Opportunities: We encourage students to engage in research projects, innovation, and
entrepreneurship, providing them a platform to develop creative solutions. Strong
Industry Connections: Our collaborations with leading industries enable students to gain
practical experience, internships, and job opportunities.
The department has achieved several significant milestones through workshops,
in-plant training, industrial visits, live projects, expert seminars, technical events, and
project exhibitions. Students work on a variety of projects, such as multidisciplinary,
in-house, cross-domain, product development, and industry-sponsored initiatives.
Beyond academic growth, the department emphasizes the development of students’
overall capabilities, including logical reasoning, analytical reasoning, general aptitude,
group discussions, personal interviews, and preparation for the GATE examination.
