GES’s R.H. SAPAT College of Engineering, Management Studies and Research, Nashik received third prize at NES INNOVATION Awards-2018,Pune

A NES INNOVATION Awards-2018 was organised by Global Talent Track at Pune on 29 March 2018.

The process started with the selection of project. The Project with problem statements with solutions need to be submitted. There were 600 engineering students among among country. Out of 600 students 50 groups were chosen for the next round. With the key objective of bringing out the hidden talents of students and with a focus on creating more awareness of science, technology and engineering, the exhibition was organised.

Results of first round was declared on 18 Jan 2018. In first selection process they divided the groups in four batches. Then a workshop was organized on 24 Jan for selected groups. In session 1, they taught defining the problem statement and solution development. In second session, taught about essential ingredients in business plan. In session three, there was Q & A session. For the 3rd round Team submitted business plan and video of our working model. On the basis of video our project was selected for award.

Students displayed various models, some of which were working models. Some students got offer for their project also, to encourage their confidence.

The winner team submitted project name is “Smart Glove for speech impaired “. It converts sign language into English .It was highly appreciated by the judges and they received the third prize.

GES’s R.H. SAPAT College of Engineering, Management Studies and Research, Nashik received Second prize at An EQUINOX EVENT (GENESIS) – 2k18

An EQUINOX EVENT (GENESIS) – 2k18 was organized at KKWagh College of Engineering on 22nd March 2018.

The exhibition was organized as part of a project exhibition.There was total 25 projects. A total of 100 students from Diploma and Engineering displayed innovative talents.

With the key objective of bringing out the hidden talents of students and with a focus on creating more awareness of science, technology and engineering, the exhibition was organized.

The project “Object detection and identification using Machine Learning ” present a method for real time object detection and tracking system by using this method, one can easily detect and track any object which may be a ball, human or even an enemy aircraft’s missiles. This system can be used in many security applications. Improve Security cameras by adding new features to existing surveillance system, it can remotely monitor and take prevention action before the crime take place. It also easily monitor public places and help to detect crime. It was highly appreciated by the judges received the first prize.

This Project was mentored by Prof S. V. Ghorpade and Prof G. K. Bhamare . They got the valuable support by  Project Director Prof. P. M. Deshpande, Principal Dr. P. C. Patil and HOD Dr D. V. Patil .

A NASHIK INNOVATION FEST-2018  was organised by SAKAL UDAY BHAVISHPATRACHA at NDMVP College of Engineering on 15th Mar and 16th Mar 2018.

The exhibition was organized as part of a science exhibition.There was total 300 projects. A total of 1500 students from Standard VIII to XI and Diploma and also Engineering students displayed innovative talents.

With the key objective of bringing out the hidden talents of students and with a focus on creating more awareness of science, technology and engineering, the exhibition was organized.

Students displayed various models, some of which were working models: lava erupting from a volcano, batteries lighting up bulbs attached to a board, cycle riding using solar panels, collection of garbage from rivers, Base isolation technique, etc.

GokhaleEducation Society’s R. H.Sapat College of Engineering’s E&TC Department organized Two Days National level seminar on IIoT

E&TC department of GES’S R. H.Sapat College of Engineering, Management Studies and Research successfully organized a two days national level seminar on Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT) on 11th and 12thJanuary of 2018. IIoT is the future industrial growth. The theme of this seminar was in tune with ‘industry 4.0’ which is the latest trend for modern industrial automation.

This seminar was inaugurated at the hands of honorable Director,Human Resource Management, Gokhale Education Society Dr. Mrs. D. P. Deshpande, Project Director Prof. P. M. Deshpande, E&M Director Mr. S. M. Gosavi, Principal Dr. P. C. Kulkarni, Ex.Dean SPPU, Pune and Principal of Matoshri College of Engineering and Research Centre Prof. Dr. G. K. Kharate, Prof. Dr. R. M. Patrikar and Prof. Dr. R. B. Deshmukh from VNIT Nagpur, Head of E&TC department Prof. S. P. Agnihotri.

The inaugural function was followed by the session delivered by program coordinator Dr. Mrs A. A. Deshmukh. Experts and eminent speakers of this national level seminar for first day were Prof. Dr. R. M. Patrikar and Prof. Dr. R. B. Deshmukh from center of VLSI & nanotechnology, VNIT Nagpur. Dr. Patrikar delivered his lecture on the application of MEMS in the field of IIOT. He also discussed about the research direction and future challenges of IIOT. Dr. R. B. Deshmukh delivered his lecture on the application of bio-inspired actuators in the field of IIOT. The last session of first day was conducted by Dr. H. Y. Patil on the application of OpenCV in the field of IIOT. He also discussed about application of machine learning in IIOT.

On the second day of this program, eminent personality from industry Mr. Milind Jape elaborated the important aspect of big data in the field of IIOT. The second session of the second day was conducted by industrialist Mr. U. P. Pandit who discussed critical aspect of IIOT using micro controller. The last session of the second day was conducted by alumni of E&TC department Mr. Shekhar Borse. He demonstrated the real life industrial and home automation projects using IIOT.

During the valedictory function, Prof. Komal Awasthi offered vote of thanks for the successful conduction of national level seminar. This program was highly appreciated by the participants.

“Quick Heal Training Program at R. H. Sapat College Of Engineering, Management Studies And Research,Nashik

“Quickheal Fundation’s” (NGO) of a well known software antivirus company of Pune “Quickheal” conducted a Cyber Security training program at Gokhale education society’s R. H. Sapat COE MSR,Nashik successfully on  19th July 2017.

Training and Placement officer Prof. D. M. Deshpande  of Gokhale Education Society R. H. Sapat College of Engineering gave information about inauguration of “Cyber Security Cell” in G.E.S.R.H.S. college of engineering.

Selective 25 students of computer branch got training in this program. This training was given by Quickheal, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility department Mrs. Sugandha Dani.  100 students from various colleges has participated in this program and they are going to continue this activity further in the same way.

Regarding cyber security cell formation
Cybersecurity is the body of technologies, processes and practices designed to protect networks, computers, programs and data from attack, damage or unauthorized access.
  • Quick Heal Foundation(NGO) has trained 20-25 students on earn and learn basis. These students will have to visit various schools and colleges for awareness of cyber security which will consist of conduction of presentations and giving them information about how to be digitally safe.
  • The purpose of this activity consists of social cause in under mentioned avenues:
    • Cyber education for various schools and Jr. Colleges
    • Tribal welfare
    • Establishing Cyber awareness Literacy Cell
          Prof. P. M. Deshpande (Project Director) sir and Prof. S. M. Gosavi (Director) sir inspired students to run this program successfully.  Students also got valuable guidance of Principal Dr. P. C. Kulkarni and Computer Department HOD Dr. D. V. Patil sir.  Prof. Rashmi Birari worked as  coordinator for this activity.
